About Me
My creative journey
I have always had an innate passion for drawing and the visual arts.
As a child, I would spend hours drawing, inspired by everything around me.
Like many of my peers, I was fascinated by cars, especially at a time when the Italian automotive industry, with names like Giugiaro and Pininfarina, was at the peak of global car design. During visits to dealerships with my parents, I would lose myself in reading brochures, captivated by the images, technical diagrams, and their layouts.
This undoubtedly sharpened my eye for graphics and visual representation.
Alongside my natural passion for drawing, a deep interest in technological innovation and scientific discoveries was growing within me.
When adults asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would naively answer: an inventor.
This mix of creativity and technological curiosity has certainly influenced my choices in education and my professional career.
My Educational Path
Graduated in graphic design at the Istituzione Scolastica Classica ed Artistica of Aosta, with my first graphic project I won first prize for the design of the logo for the regional mobile library service, Bibliobus. I later took part in the competition for the design of Christmas decorations for the municipality of Courmayeur, winning third prize, which allowed me to purchase my first computer.
Driven by my dual passion for artistic talent and technological innovation, I continued my studies by enrolling in the Industrial Design program at the Politecnico di Milano.
During my university years, I took part in the “Nastro Azzurro Design Award” competition, winning first prize for “Best Technological Innovation” with an innovative project: a silicone mold that allowed a 33 cl bottle to be made out of ice, perfect for keeping beer cold at all times.
My bachelor’s thesis project, a series of taps called “Tube”, received the highest grade and was selected for a bathroom furnishings exhibition at the Salone del Mobile, organized by the Politecnico di Milano.
Later, my master’s thesis project, UVA (Environmental Vehicle Unit), was a pioneering vision of an electric rickshaw for urban transport. It was the period when Milan was beginning to introduce limited traffic zones, and my idea envisioned a car-sharing system of these electric vehicles, capable of transforming from a standard vehicle into a pickup in just a few moves.
With great satisfaction, I have seen how many of the ideas I anticipated in my thesis have now become a concrete reality, with electric microcar sharing now part of everyday life in major cities.
Professional Experience
During the preparation of my bachelor’s thesis, I had the opportunity to work as a teacher in Typography and Advertising Graphics at the same school where I had graduated. This experience allowed me to refine my technical skills and improve my communication, organizational, and leadership abilities, thanks to daily interaction with colleagues, students, and classroom activities.
After completing my master’s degree, I carried out an internship at Studio Poletti Architettura & Design in Milan, specializing in the design of furniture and living and bathroom accessories.
Subsequently, I worked as a 2D/3D CAD designer and graphic designer at Studio di Architettura Domenico Mazza, focusing on the design of furniture accessories, 3D modeling, and rendering. My interest in web design then led me to an internship at the web agency NetBe Internet Solutions and later to a collaboration with ResNovae, where I continued to develop web pages and user interfaces as a freelancer.
Currently, as the owner of “JC Productions”, I offer graphic, web, and product design services, integrating my passion for design with the practical experience I have built over the years.
At the same time, my experience as a snowboard instructor and second-level coach represents an added value in my career, allowing me to develop transversal skills such as group management and long-term planning, which are also applicable to the design process.
